What is a bestman? What does a bestman do? What are the duties of the bestman?

A bestman is your ‘right hand man’. He is the one guy you should be able to say has always been there for you no matter what you came across in life and that you can trust to be there for you and make sure everything runs smoothly even on your big day. A bestman needs to be someone you’re very close to. He could be your best friend, brother or any other relative. 

The duties of the bestman vary according to what your needs are. The role of the bestman is to make sure that everything is as simple as possible for you and to help you out wherever he can or wherever you need him to. Most of the wedding planning will be done by your fiancé, wedding planner or either you or your fiancé’s parents but the tasks that you are required to complete, if without your fiancé, should be aided by your bestman. He’s also meant to be your livelihood and ensure that you’re okay in every way.
